TANJUNG LESUNG – ABOUT 20 dancers in traditional clothes performed the colossal dance Sambut Lesung at Lallasa Beach Club, Tanjung Lesung, Banten, Saturday (29/10). They danced with attractive and compact choreography until they managed to amaze around 500 visitors who crowded the stage area of the Tanjung Lesung Festival 2022.
Many visitors were unable to hold their bodies and heads dancing – some even cheered where it really illustrates the theme of the Tanjung Lesung Festival 2022, namely Sambut Lesung. Visitors are so welcoming to the colossal dance of Sambut Lesung.
Festive for two days
Actually, the excitement of the Tanjung Lesung Festival 2022 is not only the opening night but during the two full days from 29 – 30 October 2022. Yes, it is because of a series of exciting events that have been prepared by the Banten Provincial Government and the Regency Government.
On the first day, in the morning, visitors have invited to a mass Zumba gymnastics that was successfully attended by 200s of mothers. After that, a schoolboy painting event was held for visitors who came with the children, then tried various coffees at the festival.

Then, in the afternoon, visitors are invited to enjoy graffiti activities and various bands that chant current hit songs. Arriving at night, visitors are greeted by the colossal dance Sambut Lesung which is attended by tourists, local people, media, officials of the Banten Provincial Government and the Banten Regency Government.
How exciting was the second day? Naturally, no less exciting. Visitors – from parents to children – are invited to take part in various sporting events, namely races on the beach, dirty tracks, and mountain bikes. After the afternoon break, the event was followed by performances by reggae bands, games, door prizes and prize distribution from the morning race.
Not finished there, many visitors also explored Tanjung Lesung with the off road automotive club Kanan Kiri of Serang City which held a jamboree in Tanjung Lesung, or saw the excitement of the motocross competition titled Tanjung Lesung Super Endurocross Championship and Live Music Concert 2022 at Ladda Beach. Or in short, visitors to the Tanjung Lesung Festival 2022 are pampered with their weekend time with various exciting events.
Impressions of visitors to Tanjung Lesung Festival
Yes, at least that’s what Dila Meilani (23), a tourist from Panimbang-Pandeglang, feels. Dila said that she came to Tanjung Lesung — one of the business units of PT Jababeka Tbk — on Saturday (29/20) since eight o’clock in the morning and Dila admitted that the weekend vacation at the Tanjung Lesung Festival was very memorable for her, especially when she was invited to explore Tanjung Lesung beach by off road car. Because in addition to seeing the natural beauty of Tanjung Lesung more closely, he can stimulate his adrenaline by riding an offroad car.
“The impression I got (at the Tanjung Lesung Festival) was really exciting. I can enjoy the view around tanjung lesung beach, and the moment I like the most is when my car tries to penetrate the water,” said Dila, enthusiastically.
Meanwhile, officials of the Banten provincial government and Pandeglang Regency in their remarks had a common thread, that they hoped that the Tanjung Lesung Festival 2022 could be a moment from the beginning of the revival of tourism in Pandeglang. So, tourism in Pandeglang can be visited by many tourists with a fairly long duration of stay.
Poernomo Siswoprasetijo as President Director of Tanjung Lesung, as the manager and developer of Tanjung Lesung SEZ. He said that he believed that the presence of the Tanjung Lesung Festival 2022 would definitely contribute to the recovery or revival of the Pandeglang tourism industry.
“Also, I support and encourage the development of festival activities to be able to promote the region. So that its creative potentials, cultural arts, and beautiful nature can be known to prospective tourists,” said Poernomo.
Not to forget, Poernomo appreciated the Banten Provincial Government and Pandeglang Regency Government as well as all parties involved. So that in two days the Tanjung Lesung Festival 2022 was successful and crowded. Around 700 tourists came to the Tanjung Lesung Festival 2022 which is a positive signal for the pandeglang tourism industry.
